ANTI Movie Poster

The client was seeking a new and innovative movie poster design for their upcoming Danish youth film titled "ANTI". The film's storyline revolves around two young boys from the 1990s who find themselves in trouble due to their involvement in the graffiti community. This experience leads them to reevaluate their friendship.

I wanted to differentiate the poster from traditional movie posters, which usually consist of a combination of stills from the film, floating heads of the actors, stock material, etc. I thought it would be cool to do something radically different and use typography instead of images to communicate a teaser for the film. This also gave me an obvious opportunity to experiment and incorporate graffiti as a strong visual element on the poster that could reflect the film's style and mood.
I experimented with different paper and paint, using transparent sheets
stacked in layers to create an illusion of depth.
To make the strapline more prominent, I used graffiti tags, which also
define the style and mood of the movie.
Each of the three characters, Frede, Simon, and Chaoz, are represented by their own color in an abstract that portrays the discord and emotions present.
Thanks for watching
