Reinforcing The Brand (Aftershave packaging)

VIRTUE by Dalmore Whiskey.
Dalmore Whiskey is a high priced whiskey aimed at high society men from the age of 30 and onwards. My aim was to use this brand to create a product that could relate to it. Dalmore product key features are taste and meaning, I wanted to expand that into its scent so I created a Men’s aftershave. I named it Virtue.
Why Virtue?
Virtue has many meanings and often noble meanings like trustworthy, honourable, respectability and moral excellence. The word itself has a medieval royal feel to its name. It fits well with the brand Dalmore as the whiskey creation dates back to 1263 when developed by Clan Mackenzie in Scotland, in which the King Alexander III let the clan bare the Royal emblem of the stag.
I added the ‘I shine not burn’ slogan from the Clan Mackenzie motto to add its history, story and meaning to the product. It gives the added touch of hard work and labour has gone through to create this fine product that shines.
Final Design
The aim was to make this product masculine so I used the influence of it whiskey bottles to keep to its nature of looking like a Whiskey product I added the logo and dark colour to create the whiskey bottle effect. In all due to this I was happy with the development and result of this design.
