This picture is a homage to Faithful unto Death: 'Christianae ad Leones!' done by Herbert Schmalz.
It represents the great persecution of Christians at the beginning of Christianity in Ancient Rome.
The quote on my illustration is from Mr Herbert Schmalz, which could be found at the back of his painting.
