Below are images of some of the various Concept Development and Presentation Models I (and sometimes a crew) have built using Foam Core, over the years.  There are dozens more i could post, but it would be more than anyone would probably care to view.

These models are generally made of Foam Core and other Paper and Card Stock products, so they can be easily and quickly modified as the design process requires.

Normally, these models are not colored or detailed, and are often just a small part of the design process.  Sometimes, however, color can do a lot to inform a client, and a Color Foam Core Model (using colored paper products, paints, etc) can be a more affordable alternative to building an Art Director Model.

Since many people cannot read construction plans, these models are a very informative means to communicate important requirements about a project, including sight lines, dimensions, equipment clearances, topography, and more, and are useful for getting a visual sense of how aspects of the project inter-relate.
