DESCRIPTION: Designing an easier experience for landlords and tenants to have direct communication and eradicating the need for third parties.

THE CHALLENGE:
1: House hunting has become a very dreadful activity just because of how hard dubious agents have made it.

2: Poor management of property from management companies.

3: Long, indirect and tedious application process.

4: Deceitful pictures of property 
MY APPROACH TO SOLVING THESE PROBLEMS.
1: Conducting user research/user interviews

2: Thorough design thinking process to solve the problems

3: Empathising with the users and understanding their needs.

4: Gathering information to define core problems in their pain points and statement problems.

5: Design thinking problem (this helped me be really creative with my ideas)

6: Prototyping (I created solutions by producing and designing the product and all its specific features).

7: Last stage was testing my prototypes.
USER RESEARCH
According to House link's structure, the target market was categorised into two.

1: Landlords: Users who wish to rent their properties to eligible individuals.

2: Tenants: Users who wish to rent properties that fit their budget and taste.

This required a need to conduct interviews with the two target classes. I interviewed ten individuals, five each from both categories. This helped me better understand the people I am creating the product for.

I asked these individuals the following questions:
1: User name

2: Age

3: Gender

4: Work experience 

5: Hours they spend on their mobile devices and gadgets

6: Pain points regarding house hunting

7: Things they would like to see on an app created to cater to house hunting.
USER PERSONAS
After gathering research during the interview process, I created two (2) user personas based on this information I received.

INFORMATION ARCHITECTURE, USER FLOW AND WIRE FRAMES.
I drew a user flow and wireframes so I could better understand how different parts of my application interacts with each other. This was done to ensure the effective and easy completion of tasks on the application by the users. 

I also designed the low fidelity wireframes to have a clearer and much better understanding of what the high fidelity wireframes will look like.

I designed the sign up screens to collect landlord’s information and valid documents.

User selection page
This page was created so both users can access different functions in their respective categories. The landlord gets to click on the landlord icon and the tenants get to click on the tenants icon.
Selection and dashboard pages
Landlord gets to see his existing tenants, their repair requests, set any reminders, and has a digital copy of his tenants documents. He also gets to see new applications for properties he has to lease. Clicking on that feature takes him to the third screen where he gets to see the profiles of aspiring tenants and if any of them fits what he wants he has the option of accepting their application and contacting them for further inquiries.

I designed the sign up screens to collect Tenant’s information and valid documents.
Forgot password flow
After tenant logs in, and clicks on the get started page, they're automatically taken to the property search page, where they fill in their home preferences and search.
These pages are for Tenant to view the results from the previous search page. They get to see the photos, video tour and all other features the app provides the user to view the property and its environs. 
These are pages for a now existing Tenant, who can set reminders and easily pay their rent.
This app has so much more to offer, and is still a work in progress, but thank you for reading.
