In the video Silver & Light by Ian Ruther, there were many times when Ruther wanted to quit. Although, the more he attempted to make his own camera and to develop his own photos, the better they turned out. Ruther was spending about 500 dollars just to take one photo meaning that he was willing to risk his own money for the low probability for success. I do feel like the challenge that Ruther faced really helped him improve his photography and made it really outstanding and beautiful to look at. I definitely like the uniqueness that his own camera and thought process that brought life to the photos themselves.

Throughout the rest of the class, I want to attempt to take photos that are more out of my comfort zone, that way I can improve my photography. A place I would like to start is with live animals/ movement. For me, it's really hard to capture good images when things are moving because the images just turn out blurry and I struggle to make in focus before the subject moves. The idea of the "day in the life" of my dog or even multiple animals sounds like a good challenge. Maybe even getting two different images of each animal with one being the animal being pet and the other where the animal is waiting for attention and pets.
