Coffee Bean is a small coffee table that is based off of Scandinavian Modern Design with traditional joinery techniques. The organic, simple lines are come together to create a light and airy feel.

I began ideation with many thumbnail sketches to try and get all of the ideas out so that I could start to narrow down the direction I wanted to go. I explored many different rounded forms which included circles, bean, ovals, and egg. This helped me once again narrow down what I wanted to achieve with my design, and that was a more organic shape like the bean or egg. My next step was to play around with different types of legs and the idea of having a second surface. I really loved the idea of three legs not only for aesthetic purposes but also to triangulate the stability of the table.
