INSPIRATION
In accordance with the requirements of the diploma semester, a contemporary artist needed to be selected from the Magyar Nemzeti Bank's collection as a source of inspiration for the semester's design tasks. I chose the works of Márton Nemes, who has developed an intriguing and distinctive painting style through the fusion of engineering and his free artistic expression. Spontaneity and refinement coexist in his works, along with the contrast between digital and manual techniques, elements that I have also incorporated into my collection.
According to my two specializations, my diploma project included the design of a pattern and a shoe collection.
In my collection inspired by Márton Nemes, just as in the artist's paintings, a more free artistic line intersects with a more engineered precision, which in my case is achieved through 3D modeling and 3D printing. The soles were created using 3D printers and PLA material, later colored with acrylic spray. The modeling was done using Cinema 4D.
