Baby Bombs: MA Thesis / Roblox Game

Master's thesis in Creative Media at the School of Communication (ECO), Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ).

In "BABY BOMBS," players dive into an experience defined by their creative and curious interactions with the virtual world and fellow gamers. The core gameplay revolves around engaging with explosive creatures that trigger the generative growth of geological formations, resulting in endlessly unique landscapes. This mechanic allows players to organically sculpt their surroundings and delve into the unpredictability of their creations.

Generativity plays a crucial role in shaping the game's dynamics. Players are encouraged to develop their skills through improvisation and by accumulating experiences in how they interact with each other and the ever-changing, chaotic, and random landscape, which is constantly reshaped by collective actions. The game challenges players to navigate a universe where they lack absolute control over their actions.

This project seeks to explore the possibilities of innovation and experimentation in the field of electronic games while also situating itself within the expanding context of the Metaverse.
