FACTOR R // BOARDGAME DEVELOPMENT - FOR KIDS
PROJECT // SCHOOL PROJECT FOR IPCA (Instituto Politécnico do Cávado e do Ave) | www.ipca.pt

FACTOR R is a Twister based game. The goal was to teach kids how to eat healthy and help them on making better choices regarding food. We based our project on the Food Balance Wheel and created our own wheel with the same foods that were part of the gameplay.

THE GAME // Kids need to be fast in order to complete their Daily Food Routine consisting in 5 meals: Breakfast, Morning Snack, Lunch, Afternoon Snack and Dinner. - How do they do that?
Before every round, they take a card from the snack deck (that brings a consequence: good or bad), they throw the dices that will tell them which limb and color to use and after that, they'll play on the mat and try to reach the color that is associated with some type of food. They then take the food of their choice, and place it on their Daily Food Routine Board. Each meal has their specific combination of food groups and the team that can complete their routine faster, wins the game. Also, if a team falls 3 times on the mat, the game is over.
