In 2021, gripped with a sudden and insatiable desire to make art, I made a mixed media drawing called "Longing." But I had always imagined the image as a painting, fleshy and warm, so I recently revisited it as a digital painting in 2023. It's closer to how it feels in my heart, but perhaps there will be a third retelling to bring it closer.
