An Overview of CASA 101 Informational Sessions

CASA of the South Plains brings together and inspires community members to support children based in the foster care system. CASA builds relationships between children and families through volunteer advocates to promote healing and hope.

CASA 101 Informational Session is a simple and voluntary introduction to CASA’s mission to empower CASA Volunteers to attend to children in the foster care system who have been neglected and abused. During the sessions on different dates in selected months, both CASA staff and current volunteers educate attendees on the need to recruit extra volunteers.

In addition, attendees learn about what it means to be part of the CASA volunteer fraternity and how community members can help improve the lives of children in foster care. Over 500 children in foster care across the South Plains region need hope, and CASA Volunteer Advocates ensure their voices are heard and their interests are well catered to.

Anyone willing to attend a CASA 101 Informational Session should select a date and register for an upcoming event. Volunteer applications should be submitted from a desktop computer, as phone applications are not supported.
