The Tottenham Hotspur team in the 2004/05 season was managed by Jacques Santini, who was appointed as the club's manager in the summer of 2004 following the departure of David Pleat. However, Santini resigned in November of that season, citing personal reasons, and was replaced by Martin Jol.
In the 2004/05 season, Tottenham finished 9th in the Premier League with 52 points, 10 points behind 4th-placed Everton, who qualified for the Champions League. Spurs also reached the quarterfinals of the League Cup, where they were eliminated by Liverpool.
