Location Photography, outside of College
Here is my portfolio for all of my work that I've completed outside of college hours, which includes aircrafts, general street photography and trains! I give some brief evaluations on the shoots and how to improve in the future.
To note I have never completed street photography before learning it at college so its relatively new to me :)
Fairford (FFD) Air Base Airshow July 2023
This was the second time here at one of the greatest airshows in the world. Expensive is a term used nowadays, but a full day of non-stop action plus a look at some of the greatest aircrafts inside is worth it.
The weather was terrible on the day, with raindrops getting onto the camera at times, which didn't necessary help quality/blurring parts. But it was a good day for photography, perhaps improvements in composition and quality by using a tripod again, but decent shots nonetheless.

Bournemouth Airshow September 2023
This was the 3rd or 4th year at the Bournemouth Airshow, with night-time displays and several aircrafts during the day. The main focus aircrafts were the Red Arrows, the Typhoon and Chinook - all part of the RAF in the UK.
The images for now only contain the Red Arrows, due to not having the other images available, but the shots were well-composed and had positive brightness. I would think the main improvement on these would be quality, as handheld camera use gives camera shake on faster aircrafts. To deal with this a tripod could be used in future airshows.

Birmingham Trip - 20/12/2023
This was technically a college trip and small assignment task, but works in the idea of street photography. The main theme was reflections and architecture, so it was a nice first time insight into how to do street photography, and thought overall the images were quite good.
There was a problem with my camera around the half way point meaning I was unable to take more photos, so that was a downside on this trip. Can't say much about the positives or negatives really being my first time, but overall was positive.
Camera Used - Nikon (don't know the model)
Walk around Radford - 01/01/2024
This was a quick walk around Radford to test out my new camera and lenses, and also as a practice for street photography before going back to college. Nothing much to add - feel like the pictures were quite good albeit maybe a tad over-exposed and too bright, which could be down to ISO.
Composition was very good and decent centralisation on the subject, especially with cars driving past etc.
Camera used: Sony A7ii with Sony 16-50mm lens
Canley Walk and shoot - 12/01/2024
This was technically meant to be a much more detailed shoot, however I had very little time to do everything I wanted to do, meaning it was a quick shoot to test out more functions on my camera and also the new lens, which I actually didn't use once. I wanted to go train-spotting for an hour but managed 10-15minutes and that involved 1 train, which I guess is better than zilch.
Overall the composition was fine, it could have been better if I used the multi-shot function to adapt a frame of images. The brightness was a little poor due to lots of cloud and little sunlight but I think the overall exposure was pretty decent for conditions.
