The inception of LUCA Soccer Hub marked a significant milestone as one of our inaugural large-scale architectural project design when operating under the name 'Studio CORNERSTONE.'
This ambitious undertaking was conceptualized through the generous venture funding provided by the Abreco Group of Companies, dedicated to enhancing the facilities of the LUCA Soccer Club and the broader football community in Malappuram.
Nestled amidst the picturesque rolling hills of the Ernad region in Malappuram, this football academy was envisioned to span an expansive 9 acres of land. Unprecedented in its design, it aspired to set a new standard as the first of its kind, featuring two large football fields. The Champions Ground, adhering to FIFA standards, measuring an impressive 105x68 meters, while the dedicated training ground - Turf spanned 90x60 meters.
The design incorporated all facilities and amenities for the largest football academy in the Malabar region with the champions ground stadium to house 7500 spectators, including administrative blocks, hostels & dorms for housing 200 students, recreational terraces, mess halls & kitchen, indoor games, gymnasium, swimming pools, performance center, physiotherapy center, leisure and recreational area, and more.
Harnessing the natural contours of the site, we strategically employed a layered approach in designing the buildings along the slope. This design not only harmoniously integrates with the topography but also establishes recreational terraces between the blocks. These terraces serve a dual purpose, acting both as leisure spaces and providing pedestrian access between the buildings and the site.
The arch emerged as a fundamental architectural element seamlessly woven into the fabric of the entire design. Its graceful curvature not only served as an aesthetic motif but also played a pivotal role in defining the spatial dynamics of the structures. Employed consistently throughout, the arches imparted a sense of unity and elegance, creating a cohesive visual language across the various elements of the project.
Regrettably, the envisioned project faced setbacks and remained unrealized at the proposed site due to land acquisition challenges. Despite these obstacles, the project persists as a future vision held by both the Abreco Group and our team.
