module 2D art
For this assignment, we had to work with lighting and shadowing. We had very simple objects to begin with. First, I wanted to know the basic techniques of drawing some more realistic shapes, so I drew all three with three different colors. That way, I had more insight into what I needed to do when making it more difficult.
When done with the easier part, we had to make two shapes from different materials, and firstly I wanted to make a realistic eyeball and the cube out of brains but while working on it I knew I did not have lots of time to finish it due to other assignments. I do still have one process picture of it.
Because I made it a bit easier on myself by wanting to do gold and silver, I chose to make a third one out of stone. I do believe that even though I did not have as much time as I thought, I could still challenge myself a bit more. So thats what I did. It might seem very easy, but I worked a lot on this, and I am very proud of myself. :)
First, I will show you a rough sketch before shaping everything into each other and blurring.
The stone looked a bit strange, so I decided to add some natural details, such as moss or grass. After that, I continued drawing and blurring until I was happy with my work. I could always improve myself, but for an easy assignment, I did put a lot of work into the drawings. and I ended up with:
Extra Assignment:
Another quick project we had to make while doing the first one was a poster of one of my other assignments. Me and a few other students at Sint-Lucas are making a 2D game and for promotion, we had to make a poster. Firstly, I will show you some sneak peeks of what me and my other students have drawn for the game. Because in my poster, I wanted to show the style and storyline of the game. So I did have to compensate with a drawing style, which I normally don't do often.
and so my end product... dun dun duuunnn
