Cinque Terre
When you think the highlight of the trip has already happened, but you are visiting the "Five Lands" the next day, it is a core memory. I believe we will never forget the moment when we laid eyes on the cliffs of Corniglia for the first time. Or the time I ordered two Aperols to boost the hiking energy. Today is yet another eventful day and lots of stories to tell. Also, there is no break for the camera ;)
Walking from Corniglia to Vernazza was a great decision. Every step takes you to a fantastic view that you will not see from the train and you shouldn't miss it. Btw, we are experienced travelers, so we have sunscreen, sandwiches, and water.
The goal is to get to the next village and swim in the water (or in Aperol in my case). My knees are weak when we are in Italy ;) Here is a happy traveler, he might already be thinking about some dipping:
The skill of taking good pictures is a must-have, especially on a postcard trip like this one! Ladies and Gentleman, Us "with the village":
These might be the ups and downs that one wishes to have. Shooting postcards:
I wish I had those thick gloves to pick cactus fruits, they were everywhere. Cactuses were bigger and taller than Aleš:
Thirsty, tired, and thinking of Aperol. But, we are getting closer to the destination. So I got a full batch of recharge kisses to carry on:
If you didn't try the brioche ice cream sandwiches, that is a big disaster ... After a hike under the sun, I couldn't think of any better-deserved dessert, aka "desserted". Looks like the sun is posing for my lenses before it leaves for the day:
Shooting sunset, one might say it's quite difficult because you want to catch how the rays are hitting right in the middle of the lenses. I kind of felt some harmony when taking this shot, like the sun let me shoot and didn't ruin it with the strength that it usually has:
What a wonderful day it has been. Is it too early to think about going back? Is it? It isn't. We should:
Yes, this. This exact moment when you think you are living the highlight of the vacation, but tomorrow you are visiting Florence :)) Good luck camera!
Thank you,
A & T
