This monologue project was created for a typography college course. This particular text entry is taken from the last episode of the original anime Neon Genesis Evangelion, and displays both aspects of self-loathing and desire for acceptance. For this project there were two parts: creating a piece with type presented as type and a piece with type presented as image. This piece is the former and displays the text in a readable but intriguing manner with an emphasis on hierarchy.
This piece is the type as image, and uses the text from the original monologue with distort warp to create the tv show's iconic robot
the Eva 1. For this piece the saturation reversed as to contrast the
type as type piece and to make both pieces seem cohesive
when placed together.
