Transformation of Cultivation :
Human civilization began with the invention of agriculture. It was through the invention of
agriculture that people left the nomadic life and started living permanently. This is the continuation
of the emergence of today’s sophisticated technology-based social system. People have used different
techniques at different times to come from the agricultural system at the beginning of civilization to
the present agricultural system. In our sub-continent till a time people were heavily dependent on cattle
for agriculture. Everything from plowing to threshing to domestication depended on various animals,
including cows. As a result of the mechanical revolution, radical changes have also come in the field
of agriculture. The use of animals has decreased, the use of different types of machinery including
tractors, power tillers for planting, cutting, threshing etc. has increased. As a result the environment
is getting polluted. In addition, various chemical fertilizers are being used to grow additional crops to
meet the food needs of the overpopulation, which is harmful to the environment.
