Trains have always fascinated me, so I decided to make a map of a small historic railway that runs close to my birth town in Hungary. For the ornamental border, I pulled inspiration from the railway and its surroundings. The railway operates with different types of old locomotives hence comes the upper part. It runs across a national park, with unique and beautiful scenery, so I decided to show local birds in the corners, that you can spot from the train if you are lucky. On the sides, you can see the rail route map of the ride, and the station diagram of Fertőszentmiklós railway station, where the normal gauge meets with the narrow, as it is also a stop for the museum railway.

This map depicts trains, locomotives, the line, and its surroundings accurately in a kind and playful way. It targets families with children but train-enthusiasts too can find exciting details in this illustration.
