Yves Behar
two-sided poster
Bringing class with him into the industrial design arena, Yves Behar imprinted his character in numerous objects from our everyday life, from shoes and watches to automobiles. This poster reflects on the character of Behar's work.

Behar plays with shapes, concepts, and colors, and his products tell stories to consumers. This poster builds on the idea of reflecting the user experience. In this case, it makes the consumer remember one of the pieces of Mr. Yves Behar: The Birkenstock’s Fun Birkies, a departure from the traditional cork and suede Birkies.

Emphasizing the process of design, I created a two-sided industrial designer poster: one side visual, one side informational. The visual side of the poster contains an iconic piece of work by the designer to create interest and impact. I chose the Birkenstock shoes for that interesting piece. To create a quasi-3d image that the public could relate to, I scanned the sole, and digitally overlapped many layers of the
same image in some of the colors of the actual shoes.
