Client Requests:
Mr. David Bush has requested for us to design a menu for the Under the Stars Café, a small café that is located outside of the planetarium hall. This small café features a variety of food such as sandwiches, salads, and snacks.
The client had also requested for us to make updated marketing graphics for his live lecture shows. We had to make six graphics in total, which we had to divide the work load up.
Assigned Tasks:
Louis Lembo: "Meet the Planets", "Let's Look Up!", "Space Adventure to the Moon", "Night Sky Live!"
Carly Carucci: "Take a Hike Through the Solar System", "Earth Science Review", "Exploring the Solar System", "Long Island Skies"
The café menu was worked on by both Louis and Carly.
Research:
Each of the planets in the solar system were created using reference images from public domain sources.
Certain assets also contain some constellations. Info on how they look were sourced from https://www.constellation-guide.com/
We also had to do research on what exactly we were making graphics for. Half of our research was simply going into the Vanderbilt website and reading into the descriptions of the live lecture shows themselves.
Completion Methods:
Louis' assets were created using Adobe Illustrator, and Carly's assets were created using MediBang.
Louis would then bring Carly's finished art into Illustrator to add some finishing touches.
The Café Menu's border was done in Illustrator, before being applied to Adobe Photoshop. A PDF of the menu contents were added into the Photoshop file and could be easily edited if any menu changes were to be made.

Project Results:
While Louis and Carly ran into some trouble with time, they came out of the projects with much success.
They worked together to create simplistic vector art that combines elements from their individual art styles.
Together, they had made stunning and updated graphics that are major improvements compared to the previous graphics.
