Ghana Forestry System

This poster was designed to depict a hypothetical system that would be implemented in Northern Ghana to help strengthen their forest industry.

I carefully considered how to layout each part of the system and ultimately, I used negative space and illustrated visuals to help define each section of the system from the ones around it.

The upper half of the poster is a visual explanation of the reasoning behind the system and how it would affect the current forestry system in Ghana, from why Ghana is the best choice in which to implement this system, to what ways it would specifically improve life there. The lower half is a detailed walkthrough of the system itself, from start to completion with each written explanation accompanied by a descriptive graphic.

The mix of icons and vector illustrations that I created were carefully considered before being decided upon to ensure the highest level of comprehension would be offered through them. I designed them to be the best means of a visual representation of a dense amount of information, as well as being visually appealing to its audience. The illustrations also create a visual flow in the poster, while the simpler icons help lead the viewer through each part of the system without needing any written guidance.
