THE NEXT BEST THING
UX assignment
Briefing:
My goal in this project was to come up with and describe the concept of a digital product that would solve the problem posed to me. This problem was described by another person in a UX notebook format.
So my steps were:
1. Explore the problem, make a problem storyboard
2. Brainstorm (in 2 technics)
3. Extract tree best ideas (one main solution and two other)
4. Depict concepts of solutions in storyboards/sketches
5. Present it to you :)
1. What is your problem?!
That's my starting point, the problem of one girl who has nosy sleeping neighbour and she told about it in her notebook:
After that I did the problem storyboard to depict this problem in a few scenes:
2. Let me think...
After that, we need to think on a question "How Might We?"
For example: "How might we help person not to hear the snoring?", "How might we make someone not to snore at all?" or even "How might we distract someone from annoying noises at night?"
3. I have an idea!!
So I got the 3 best ideas: Anti-Waves, a Mash-Up and a Notification solution.

Of course, I'll explain now:

1. Anti-Waves 🧬
As you know, sound is a wave. And for any wave, you can create a mirror wave to it, which will, as it were, neutralize the original one. So, our device captures snoring, creates these anti-waves and directs them into a sleeping person through speakers built into small pads, protecting his sweet sleep.

2. Mash-Up 🪇
Yes, it is not always possible to muffle snoring or remove it altogether. What should I do if it continues to ring in my ears in the middle of the night anyway? Can we turn it into a soothing melody in our headphones? By capturing the sound waves of snoring, our smart app converts them into music: adds calm beats or superimposes a lullaby motif on top, turning annoying snoring into a barely distinguishable element in the melody. Yes, this dude is a DJ!
3. Notification. 🛎️
It would be so convenient not to get up at night and wake up a snoring person every time.. but what is always with us? Of course the phone! He hears everything and as soon as he catches a prolonged loud snoring, he automatically sends a notification to a good snorer we know! Moreover, he will not stop until he wakes up and confirms that he is very sorry and he will not do this anymore - by pressing a button on his screen.
Actually I love this one the most, so maybe we can look deeper how it might work? I did the solution storyboard! 💡
Well, it might be confusing so I also did the short description what is going on here! Enjoy watching 🍿
I would like to summarize this work!
It turned out to be quite difficult for me to expand the boundaries of reality and not dismiss all these crazy ideas at the very start. Am I dreaming too little?
In addition, all our proposed problems do not immediately suggest solutions in the digital format, but they turn out to be if you search correctly!
It was also quite interesting in the end to grab each of the ideas by the tail and capture them in sketches or storyboards, in the process it even seems to disappear the feeling that this is impossible - why not?

Indeed, you need to be able to dream more :)
thank you for your attention btw 🙃
