The Address stands as a remarkable mixed-use complex seamlessly integrating offices and commercial spaces. Nestled at the southern entrance of Beirut city, along a significant arterial roadway, and surrounded by a luxurious urban fabric, The Address emerges as a prestigious architectural gem harmonizing with its upscale surroundings.
The central focus of the design was to craft an iconic façade, aiming to elevate the project to the status of a city landmark. A five-story structure became the canvas for this vision, adorned with glossy white tiles strategically positioned to capture and reflect the sun's rays from afternoon until sunset.
The lower floors showcase engaging shopfronts that delicately penetrate the exterior façade, creating regular glazed areas. In striking contrast, the upper office spaces extend horizontally, seemingly floating on the pristine white surface. These volumes, when viewed from the exterior, manifest as glazed elements mounted against a white backdrop.
The incorporation of double-glazed windows and curtain walls serves to reflect daylight, and their surfaces are adorned with nine perforated panels strategically positioned to provide effective protection against intense sunlight. Accentuating the project's three corners are louvers, carefully designed to enhance the architectural aesthetics. Notably, at the central corner, the louvers are elevated, subtly signaling the entrance and adding a touch of sophistication to the overall design.
Playing a pivotal role from the conceptual phase through the entire construction process, I contributed significantly to the realization of this visionary project. This involvement encompassed crucial stages, including detailing, bidding, coordination, and supervision phases.
The Address, with its meticulous design and my integral involvement at every stage, stands as a testament to the seamless fusion of architectural innovation and functional elegance.
