Designed for the Welsh music, singing, and dancing competition Cerdd Dant.
A yearly competition, held last year (2023) in my college Cardiff and Vale College. Being in the second year of my graphic design course my class was given the opportunity to produce a set of certificates first, second and third for their competition to be handed out to all winners on the day. The board of Cerdd dant ended up choosing my design out of the others in my class as the certificate, although as I had thought they had their own changes and refinements in mind coming from their own designer on the board. After meeting with a member of the board and their designer to discuss the alterations we took about an hour to run through the changes whilst testing them, primarily colors to better fit in with some of their own and the writing as mine was crude due to my lack of knowing the welsh language.
