SINGURI PROJECT
A tribute to the remarkable artistic legacy of Parajanov
The rich shades of singuri red have inspired us to apply more earthy tones to our daily lives. The practice of using natural pigments in writing and especially in textile dyeing has a long history in our culture, specifically and very famously in the rugged mountains of the Caucasus.

Our renowned textile colorists have spent the last few months adventuring in the highlands of Georgia, searching for the endemic and non-en- demic flowers and plants that are traditionally used for natural dyeing. And now, on this most momentous of days, we are ready to welcome you, share our masters’ wisdom, and offer you an unforgettable experience.
On October 21, at Rooms Kazbegi, attendees discovered an illuminating exhibition of naturally dyed textiles, joined a beautiful fabric-dyeing workshop, enjoyed a Georgian brunch, and learned the true origins of making Mokhevian khinkali. As the sun went down, they unwound to the beats of ethnic electronica and meditative music composed especially for the Singuri project.
