Cheerful gifts:
Two gifts made with creative design. The one on the right is an image of a leaf made onto a frame (WoodArt). The one to the left is an image of a sweater that has had its unique design printed onto it.
Autumn Warmth
The first project was wood art! I took a simple piece of wood and used carpentry skills, image design, and laser cutting. I first started with measurements. Then with the use of a ban saw and table saw I cut out the desired piece of wood. The desired piece was 12 by 10 inches. Then I used inkscape to create the images I would have laser cut and etch onto the wood. I took stencils from the web and converted them into vector images. Further, I stained and painted the frame.
Fearless sweater
I started with a blank white sweater made with about 50% polyester. Then I used Canva to create a unique design. The design was based on a Bible quote from Proverbs. Then I used a sublimation printer to print out the design. The last step was utilizing a heat press to fuse the print onto the shirt.
