Set design and direction
María, ¿remember her from Elemento Dorado?, began her unexpected journey as an independent artist in Monterrey, Nuevo León. In the meetup we went through her creative process and talked about representing the steady flow of feelings she experienced having lived through the stories behind her debut single.
How do black and white piano keys feel?
Well, it depends on the focus and the note. With a single light, black drop and a slow aperture we conveyed the main states of lethargy and thought. For the constant and deep introspection, we added a coat of satin so that her skin and highlights are the fillers of the negative space.
We want waves to go out of the frame
and her lips to kiss the screen.
