About Project

During my last session of technical training in multimedia, specifically within the framework of a personal project, I had the opportunity to collaborate as part of a team composed of two students to design and develop a Speedrun/FPS game. This project highlighted the cold mechanics as a central element of the gameplay, showcasing my ability to work collaboratively while implementing complex concepts related to video game development. It is important to emphasize that during this project, themes of thrill and gameplay type were imposed on us, resembling a mini-game jam.
My Role

During this project, I had to wear multiple hats. I took on the roles of a designer, a level designer, musician, VFX Artiste and a 3D modeller. I even had the opportunity to handle a substantial amount of coding, given the circumstances of the course and the deadlines we were given.
The goal of the project

The goal of the project was to push us out of our comfort zone by imposing constraints such as a theme, deadlines, and gameplay, aiming to replicate a situation similar to that encountered in the video game industry. So my team and I deliberately chose to design a project centred around an FPS speed run, where the need to maintain a cold temperature is simulated by rubbing your weapon against a piece of ice. Our choice aligns with the cold-themed concept, demonstrating our commitment to a creative and immersive approach in the field of video games.
Project duration

The project lasted for three weeks.
