The Heddon Valley in North Devon runs down to the sea at Heddon's Mouth, between Woody Bay and Combe Martin.  The Hunter's Inn is part way down the valley and provides an excellent base for exploring the area.  In the autumn the sunlight and the colours provide a contrast to other times of the year.
