Lead designer for an awards submission site for an architectural firm

The site to submit an application for the Gensler Design Excellence Awards was so cumbersome & unintuitive, that filling out the forms was often delegated to a group of employees, knowledge managers, who knew the back-end workings of the system. Therefore, the ask was to create a system so easy and intuitive to use that it significantly reduced the workload of those who needed to trouble-shoot the problems during the submission period.

Utilize best practices in form design, leverage the data that we already had in our internal systems to auto-populate known fields, and allow the seamless upload of files.
