This game allows Spider Magazine readers to create their own Halloween Hybrid. When you get to each combined character, it plays a sound or narration that matches the hybrid. For example, a Ghost Monkey goes, "OooOooooOooo Ahh Ahhh" with the first part sounding like a ghost and the second part sounding like a monkey!
iSpy Game: This game is kind of like "Where's Waldo" only Spider Magazine readers are looking for different animals in different scenes.
This game uses an HTML coloring document to allow Spider Magazine readers the ability to finish the scavenger hunt digitally.
Sonya's Word Search: This is a game that I brainstormed and created for Spider Magazine. Throughout the issue, there are vocabulary words that the bugs explain. The word search pulls from the list of bug words.
One month, Cricket Magazine had a scavenger hunt throughout the magazine. There are usually vocabulary words bolded red throughout the magazine, but this month also had hidden "bugs with swords" throughout. The words revealed by the bugs were vocabulary words created for the fantasy dictionary by Cricket readers, who were participating in the creation of a fantasy story with a professional writer by creating vocabulary words and characters for the story.
