We started in the morning on a very windy day. I was sitting in the dense shade of a public garden looking out into the bright light of the street. My eye was caught by a curtain fluttering outside an open window. After a long break, I finished the drawing as the lights came on at night. The paper was pre-printed with a pink floral pattern overlaid with pink butterflies ... seemed like a good choice for an urban garden.
