The Piazza Trento e Trieste. Filmed in Ferrara, Italy, then recreated in 3D and rendered to video as a repeating loop with music created to fit the visuals. 

I went to see Ferrara because it was the place where the painter Giorgio de Chirico lived in the 1910s. The city influenced his paintings. In the top video I used typical de Chirico objects like rulers and architect's drawing tools. I'm fascinated by the strange surreal atmosphere of his paintings.

Screenshots while constructing the scene. I made this with a Javascript / Typescript tool I wrote that uses the enable3d.js, three.js and ammo.js libraries. Besides that I used Photoshop, Sketch, FFmpeg, Bitwig Studio and coloured pencil on paper.
