The local Wine festival association asked us to develop a social mobile site for the wine festival season. We had a few ideas upfront, but the time frame was very tight, and so the decision was to stick to the basics.

Main User Groups
I developed Personas/User Groups which were only based on assumptions and basic research methods: We then came up with two main user groups.
Soon we figured out that these two groups have different expectations.

Storyboarding the Experience
So I started to conceptualize first ideas with Storyboards before starting the visual design process.followed by Storyboarding the user flows of the two main user groups which helped to communicate the requirements to our client.

Visual Comps
Lastly, I designed mockups in Photoshop to help me visualize a consistent interface.

Once the visual mockups were created the UI was implemented using the jQuery mobile framework.
Sketching storyboards was a fun process, it gave us insights and was helpful for whom to design first and for ideation and client communication and consulting
