Areatza's Kindergarden, Bizkaia

A three classroom kindergarden school located in Areatza, at the heart of Gorbeia's natural park, was designed to respond to its environment and users. The simplicitity of spaces are designed to let the children personalize them, letting its architecture act as a mere stage. Nonetheless, the nature of its materials, the location and size of its openings, and the relationship with the exterior are carefully layed our and orchestrated to serve its users.

 

Externally, those concepts evolve around a wooden box, an object easily recognizable, and yet full of subtle intentions.
