The massacre in Stari Brod and Miloševići took place during the spring of 1942, mainly on the banks of the Drina river, in the towns of Stari Brod and Miloševići, Višegrad municipality. In this massacre, the Ustashas killed around 6,000 unarmed Serbs, exclusively civilians. Some people were forced to commit suicide by diving in the Drina, fleeing from the Ustashas. The most massive killing of people took place on March 22, 1942, but the killings continued until the beginning of May 1942.
As a sign of memory of these Serbian martyrs, on September 7, 2019, the Memorial Museum was consecrated in Stari Brod, the project for which was designed by the architect Novica Motika
