Being tasked with creating an invitation to a community building celebration, I immediately thought of a community barbeque event. Initially, my goal was to create an invitation that has a rustic style to fit the typical theme of a barbeque. This led me to choosing a font that was in all caps to grab attention. In addition to this, I chose a black background that not only highlights my font, but also reflects typical barbeque colors. With a clean, easy to read design, I began including all of the essential information in a typical event flyer. Using crucial design techniques, I created a simple invitation to grow local community.
