Design a watch for the Finnish furniture brand "artek". It takes inspiration from the iconic Stool 60, a representative piece of furniture for the brand, and simplifies its design into a new watch form. When we think of "artek," the first thing that often comes to mind is the renowned piece of furniture, the "Stool 60." The Stool 60 is known for its characteristics such as "simple structure," "three-legged chair," "L-leg," and "the beauty of bentwood."
The target user is defined as an "artek-style man." Being an "artek-style man" signifies a connection to "nature," "elegance," and an appreciation for "materiality."
The watch's primary aesthetic draws inspiration from the bentwood curve, with the crown located near the distinctive "σ" protrusion, representing the bentwood feature. This bentwood element serves not only as a decorative effect but also functions to protect the crown. The watch face is designed in the top view image of the "Stool 60," and the watch hands are crafted to resemble the three-dimensional "L-leg." Additionally, three black dots on the side of the watch symbolize the nails that secure the chair legs.
