ENNA CALCIO - FOOTBALL CREST RESTYILING

ENNA CALCIO
VISUAL IDENTITY RESTYILING*

Design proposal for the crest restyling of the soccer club associated with the enchanting Sicilian city of Enna. Currently competing in the "Eccellenza" Italian Series, this club holds a rich history and a strong connection to the city's identity.

Enna, a city steeped in heritage, boasts historical official colors of Green and Yellow
Yet, what truly makes this crest special is its connection to the Enna Municipality's coat of arms, where the color red takes center stage, forming an inception of visual hierarchy within the crest.

The city's coat of arms, designed during a time when Enna was known as "Castrogiovanni", is a work of art

It features a fortress with three towers, each representing a different facet of Enna's identity - a city of light and wisdom, a city of peace and abundance, and a city seen as the mother and legislator of Sicily. At the summit of this fortress, stalks of wheat emerge, while at the heart of it all, a double headed crowned eagle takes its rightful place.

The *Fictional Design proposal for the new crest does not seek to revolutionize the city's symbolism but aims to infuse a footballing spirit into it, aligning it more closely with the excitement of the game and the passion of its fans by not only reimagines the emblem but also embraces the motto of both the city and the team - "URBS INEXPUGNABILIS," signifying an impregnable city, a reflection of Enna's unique geography and elevation nestled in the mountains.
