Identity design for an upmarket Turkish restaurant in the Kangaroo Point area of Brisbane. It
needed to appear modern and sleek but undoubtedly turkish at the same time. The concept
chosen for the project was focused on the scenery and landscapes of Turkey seen by merchants
on their travels on the Silkroad. The colour palette represents the sandstone landscapes and
deserts while the pop of purple represents the flowering oasis’ that can be found within the
sometimes harsh landscapes. To give the concept the feeling of ‘flow’ a support graphic was
created to mimic the flow and movement of ribbons or sand blowing on the hot desert winds.
