This piece was a commissioned project by a fellow student in the Architecture program at UWM. The original premise began very simply: a cribbage board to be designed around an Egyptian theme. From there, the design evolved into a much more detailed piece which included the playing board, deck of cards and pegs.
Major details of the set include the double sided cover piece. One side displays the 3 player board while the flip side transforms the piece into a decorative piece of original art, displaying two Sphinx figurines and a gold detailed pyramid. The inside houses a unique Egyptian themed deck of playing cards along with 3 sets of jeweled pegs. The sides of the lower portion are lined with etched Egyptian hieroglyphics which spell out various Cribbage terms. The main material used was acrylic, cut with a laser cutter and fastened with either silver hardware or adhesive.
