ITA MAK REDE

Tais is the utmost expression of the national identity and cultural heritage of Timor-Leste, a hand-woven cloth produced using intricate techniques, with motifs and colours expressing different ethnic groups throughout the country, woven chiefly by women, predominantly rural-based. In this context, @unwomen decided to empower these women and build a network that strengthens Weaver´s voice. @torke_cc invited me to design the branding and to give a motto to the network, and it was a great pleasure to participate in this amazing project.

Inspired by the grid and Tais motifs the language is built without mimicking, but instead, we create a fresh approach for the graphic language.
