Urbane Typeface

Urbane is a typeface born from the iconic characters created by George Roy Hill for films such as Butch Cassidy and The Sundance Kid or The Sting. Not only was costume and authenticity important for these characters, but a sense that they could combine an urbane attitude with a rough and ready persona.
The typeface itself was created by screen printing onto hessian fabric, then using the remainder
of ink to reprint onto a different flatter stock for a textile-inspired appearance.
