We wanted to honor its storied past, stripping away the superfluous layers to reveal the historical and cultural essence at its core. Rooted in preserving history, we embarked on an immersive exploration of the 1930s-1960s design era, integrating authentic period objects like antique cabinets, pulley pendant lights, radios, and more.
Our meticulous restoration efforts revived original marble furniture, preserved wall tiles, and sourced matching floor tiles. We didn't stop at restoration; we revitalized Chin Mee Chin's identity, crafting a brand inspired by its original cake box design and traditional shophouse aesthetics. The past and present merge in our design patterns and iconic powder blue, red, and white color scheme. Chin Mee Chin bridges past and future, inviting you to savor history, design, and cultural identity in this enduring slice of Singaporean culture.
