The Sentencing Project │ Civic Power Campaign

Creative Cycle collaborated with The Sentencing Project to create the graphic development of the Civic Power event, part of the campaign 50 Years and a Wake Up: Ending The Mass Incarceration Crisis In America. This campaign raises awareness about the dire state of the U.S. criminal legal system and the devastating impact of incarceration on communities and families. It proposes more effective crime prevention strategies for our country.

This event needed to be bold and look strong in a graphical way. At the same time, it had to be nearly related to The Sentencing Project brand that already existed. Our first thoughts were to have a symbol that represents every part of this purpose: the devastating impact of incarceration not only on people who experience imprisonment but also on families and communities, and the encouragement to propose more effective sentences and effective crime prevention strategies for our country.

Creative Cycle felt this project was an opportunity to raise our voices regarding these community social issues.
