Challenge:
Central Connecticut State University's graphic design studio, Central Design, obtained a client who was looking for an identity as well as various print materials to market their cause on campus. The Campus of Compassion is an organization to promote making CCSU a "University of Compassion" and strives to weave acts of compassion into university life. The organization is rooted from the Charter of Compassion which is signed by many notable figures such as the Dalai Lama.
Solution:
I created the logo for the organization by manipulating the letters in the word "compassion" to form a path or road. This path symbolizes the path to enlightenment discussed in the Charter of Compassion which continues to influence the organization. It also represents the journey CCSU is taking to become a "University of Compassion".
Together, the Central Design Team came up with an informational brochure, which along with the logo, will be distributed around campus and the surrounding area.
