A trilogy of greek wines

"I - for your sake - had three shifts set:
I had the sun on the mountains, and the eagle on the plains,
And I appointed the cool north wind to be on the ships..."
Inspired by the richness of the "irrational" and "hermetic" Greek tradition, the "Three Shifts" of the folk poem turned to three unique wines. The Three Shifts is a tribute to three ancient wine varieties, the durability of the local traditions and the winemaking heritage.
The three images of the poem are the inspiration for the three images that accompany the varieties. The structure, shapes and colors introduce us to the Greece of folk art through a more modernist perspective. The custom font is inspired from the early 19th century Greek version of Didot typeface.
The three wine varieties are: Vilana, a dry white wine from Crete, with the illustrated sun. Agiorgitiko, a red dry wine from Peloponnese, with the eagle as a symbol. The third one is Augustiatis, a rose dry wine from the island of Zakynthos, with the ships as key visuals.

A limited, premium, BIO version of the wine trilogy was created after the first release, with Black, Gold and Copper metallic colours - as more formal. The poster version of the label is available as well.
