Lambosozoku - Full CGI

Initially, this was going to be my entry to the latest Automotive CGI Facebook Group Monthly Challenge. The topic for that challenge was: "Pimping gone Wrong".
And the one rule I laid on it was simple:
"Any form of car styling is ok, as long as it's over the top"

However, after finishing this piece, I figured this was not really the type of image I was going for when I decided on the topic for that challenge. I actually wanted to do a funny :P
So I did something else and are now free to share this with the world haha
In case you wonder what other image I made for the entry, just keep your eye on my page and it'll soon be clear.

But how did I get to this image in the first place?
In the reference images I submitted to the group for the members to get inspired by, there were also some so called "Bosozoku" cars. They might be cool, it might be culture, it might even be art...but I do think it's looks pretty silly and waaaaay over the top!

But...silly in a good, creative and fun way.
And as far as I understand, this is exactly the reason behind this culture nowadays.

So I wanted to make something in that style, but also not completely in that style.
I wanted to do something more aggressive and less funky. But still try to keep in those obvious style elements that Bosozoku cars are known for.

So I grabbed myself a Lamborghini Espada and basically ruined it.
I gave it an extreme body kit, pointy front "bumper" and giant yellow exhaust pipes.
But I guess that's where the Bosozoku style requirements end, as the rest is just bonkers and pretty much the opposite of what's usually seen on Bosozoku cars.

And the poor guy doesn't even realize he drove off to the wrong country to begin with :P
I still might've argue that this image fits the topic of "Pimping gone Wrong", because this "Lambosozoku" is so far out from the original Bosozoku style, that the OG's must conclude that this would have been an obvious case of "pimping done wrong" by some gaijin wannabe with too much money :D

Thank you all for watching and enjoy the rest of the renders of this freaky looking thing.

And make sure you join our CGI Automotive Facebook Group and join these fun challenges. It's nothing serious, but just a fun and informal way to try new stuff.
And finally some perspective warps. Don't know why I rendered these though :P
Cheers,
